We are based in Woking, Surrey so for visiting care we cover Woking and the surrounding towns and villages. We provide live-in care right across Southern England.
Visiting care can be any amount of time from 30mins upwards. The fees depend upon the type of care you need and the number of hours in total. We tailor our prices to each customer. Live In care is charged by the week and is based on the complexity of the care required.
All our staff go through rigorous training once they are first recruited and then have refresher training every year. The training is a mix of online and face-to-face training carried out in our office here in Woking. The training meets all Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements and covers subjects such as Medication, Health & Safety, Fire, Moving & Handling People, Dementia & Alzheimer’s, Safeguarding and other subjects. Specific training is also provided in particular conditions that relate to individual customers.
Our team members are paid above the minimum wage plus mileage costs for travelling around. More experienced and qualified team members earn a higher salary and take on greater responsibilities.
Many of our team join us based on word of mouth although we also advertise online. There is an overall shortage of care staff in the UK so recruiting and retaining the best people is crucial for us and for our customers.
We do our best to ensure the most appropriate Care Assistant is allocated to each customer based on experience, skills and customer preference. Depending upon how many care visits you require, it may not be possible for one care Assistant to carry out them all. In which case, we would have two-three Care Assistants forming a small team and sharing the visits.
